BREAST UPLIFT

Dr.Blaschke’s preferred method keeps the scars as short as ever possible. With little tissue excess the scar can be kept around he nipple, with bigger excess a vertical component is added. He tends to add an "internal implant", shaping your own tissue like a prosthesis to create the highest projection under the nipple. If the overall volume is too small, a silicone implant can be used.

The Procedure

The operation is performed under general anaesthesia. The incision leads around the nipple and down to the inframammary fold, if necessary. Skin around the nipple is removed, the nipple is shifted upwards and breast tissue underneath is placed into a position, where it provides greatest projection. A shaping dressing is applied and you spend one night in a private hospital under our care. Dr. Blaschke and his team will see you for regular checks. A sports bra protects the breast. All nonresorbable suture material will be removed latest within 2 weeks. Normal activities can be resumed within one week. Lifting or carrying should be avoided for 3 weeks.


Surgeon’s remarks

I find the extensive scar under the breast superfluous; a short scar around the nipple with a line straight down usually suffices. The internal shift of breast tissue under the position of greatest projection like a natural implant gives you a young shape with minimal scarring.
